What are bioidentical hormones, and how are they different from synthetic hormones?
Bioidentical hormones have the same molecular structure as the hormones made by your own body. These hormones are manufactured in a pharmaceutical lab in compliance with FDA regulations from soy or wild yam plants. They are identical to human-produced hormones, even though they are plant-derived. Synthetic hormones are intentionally altered in chemical structure from the hormones made in the body with different chemical side chains.
